This critical review examined the theoretical underpinnings, methodological rigor, and contextual limitations of a recently developed instrument designed to assess e-entrepreneurial idea feasibility in higher education. While the original study aimed to create a standardized psychometric scale to evaluate digital business concepts, this review identified profound structural and psychometric vulnerabilities. The methodological evaluation revealed a severe construct underrepresentation, as the scale purification process eliminated essential technological and digital infrastructure dimensions, resulting in a generic assessment tool. Furthermore, the analysis uncovered a pronounced demographic misalignment between the intended undergraduate target population and the actual validation sample utilized. The experimental design also exhibited significant analytical omissions, including the absence of known-groups validity testing and informational asymmetries between the presented business vignettes and the specific financial data evaluated. The review concluded that the evaluated scale cannot reliably measure the feasibility of modern digital business concepts until these foundational tensions and methodological flaws are systematically resolved.
